Our featured house today has a unique style which zijn the result of the extension, conversion and renovation of the house several times since its construction hierbinnen 1951. But you can see traces of the heterogeneous style of the huis ’s interior despite this renovation. Old additional elements were dismantled and needed a controlled addition to new expansions for the house. Designer Haberstroh Schneider said that “the new volumes were clustered at the western side of the intrige, touching the old building only binnenshuis one place. While the old building had bot freed from any disturbing elements and thus restored to its classic finesse, the new cubes aanwezig a composition of simple and plastically reduced volumes. The cubes, according to their different position, spacing and size, create fascinating passageway- and hofje-situations with the old building. To the south-western side of the intrige wij removed the former winter garden. Te its place wij constructed a generous, frank garden pavilion which works well as mediating element between old building, pool area and the garden.” With this definition by the architects, we could create a beautiful picture of the house te our mind.
